Hi,

I'm looking for a new full-size headphone for home use. Does anyone know where I can audition Grados and Sennheisers in NYC -- in particular, the SR-225, SR-325, HD580/600?

last time i stepped into harvey electronics on 45th between 5th/6th, they had a tree full of senns and grados. the source was hidden, and IIRC, you couldn't plug them into your own source.

also at lyric hi-fi, up on lexington (and 81st? 82nd?... around there). also IIRC, they've got grados and senns to try out. lyric is a smaller shop than harvey, so they might be more amenable to switching sources, bringing your own cd's, etc.

park avenue audio, on 29th/park also has grados (don't remember if they have senns)... i like these guys, they've always been helpful and patient, as opposed to the twerps at most other places.

those are just off the top of my head... there may be others.
