Two to start off with:

Boy bands. Their intended audience likes them, and that's fine, but the sheer commercialism and prefab nature of these groups just irks me to no end.

Actresses/models who start singing careers because that just seems to be the "in" thing to do. I'm sure some are good (can't think of any at the moment), but most are there just to be there, ya know?

i guess the term boy band and the whole manufactured ethos gets a little tiresome, but i dont feel righteous enough to condemn or slag off an entire category, i will listen to anything, if i dont like it, i dont bring down all the other artists in that same category. i just realize that that artist wasnt so good to my ears.

i havent had time to cement in my mind my most 'hated' category of music.

Very true, vice versa is also very very true, what you love now, you may grow to hate later on and start thinking how the hell did I listen to this crap!!!

I don't see how it's possible to hate a whole category of artists. I can't count the number of times I've heard "I hate rap" or "I hate country" or "Classical is boring," to which I reply "Have you heard (big list of albums)" and get back "No, but I have heard 50 Cent/Toby Keith/???." Seriously, probably 90% of released albums in any genre suck or are at least not noteworthy, but that doesn't mean that the genre is bad; just that you haven't looked hard enough.

artists that refer to themselves as 'gangsta rap', well more of the newer ones such as 50 cent, and lloyd banks and them guys, i am not a big fan of listening to how one has done certein deeds.

i do, however, appreciate 90's rap such as 2pac, since it isnt full of smut like todays artists

While the category I hate the most is emo without question, I do enjoy a fair bit of what gets labeled emo.

Maybe it's the attitude that irks me the most, that or the band members all wearing eyeliner and girls jeans.

the only category I hate as a whole would probably rap. I just can't stand the lack of actual music in it. Resampled beats, rhythmic speaking, "gangsta" rhetoric in modern rap, I just can't get into it.

Rap. And metal. I used to have a pretty substantial metal collection, goodness knows why ...
