Same, comp prefered. More convenient in general, the more dedicated sources don't make sense until your gear provides for the difference...
although hey...SACD is looking interesting.

What is the difference between CD player and redbook CD player??

I voted CD player, even though it's the same thing as redbook last I checked. Also, there's no SACD, DVD-A, or vinyl. Maybe we should put down 8 track and reel to reel too

last i checked, sacd is redbook, and i did put vinyl...

But redbook actually means regular CD. SACD is a special high density format....there are some hybrid discs with redbook layers as well as SACD.

Why did you have both "CD player" and "Redbook CD player" as two different choices? I picked redbook player because mine only plays redbook, but I think a better idea would be to have "CD player" and "SACD/DVD-A player" as choices instead. Oh well, too late
