I suppose my favorite song is Mahler's 9th symphony, but that's not really a song....

As far as songs go, I could never pick just one, about a 3rd of the songs on The White Album (Beatles) could be considered a favorite........God Only Knows by the Beach Boys, Half of Jeff Buckley's Grace album could be up there........in jazz, I love Bill Evans on My Foolish Heart, Lush Life (any version of it).......Goodbye Porkpie Hat, Any solo piece on Keith Jarrett's solo concerts or koln concert is one too.

P.S. this was my 1500th post, I am now a Headphoneus Supremus

I suppose if I'm going to commit to a "favorite song" it would be Bob Dylan - Desolation Row. I really have no idea what any of the lyrics mean, but I enjoy the imagery nonetheless.

The Beatles - Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End is also a favorite of mine, although I suppose that's three songs...

I only said The Decline because it's long enough to warrant being an "only favorite" song. However, the list is very long:

This Will Destroy You - Some Remedies are Worse than the Disease
Mahler's 7th Symphony - 5th Movement
Mahler's 5th Symphony - 1st Movement (I'm a trumpet player, so ya)
A Wilhelm Scream - The Rip
Mogwai - Glasgow Megasnake

Lots more, but those are the big ones.

It's so hard to pick a single favorite but one of my tops would have to be Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.

One single pick ? "Dreamer Deceiver" by Judas Priest or maybe the whole "Karn Evil 9" suite on Brain Salad Surgery, if it counts as a single song...

My favorite song live is Baro Foro by Gogol Bordello because it is really a great experience to hear it that way.
