Hey I'm a new guy who has just started delving into the world huge world of "Hi End" audio. What would you guys suggest I look into buying for a good portable system?

(Three requests, first that it is good for rock music, second that it is easy to use and majorly portable, and third that it can use CD-rs/Cd-rws.)
