So the site says it's discontinued, which makes the Desktop amps pricing very weird (since they show a base price that you can't actually get with available modules).

Is it gone for good and prices are effectively going up? Going to be replaced by a newer desktop module? Going to have the Home module swivel down in price to obviate the need for it?

Hello All,

The desktop module has been officially discontinued and is no longer available in currently-manufactured HR amps. Sorry about the confusion on the website regarding the pricing for this unit; we're currently working to address the clarity asap so thanks for your patience!

To be perfectly precise, we do have one or two desktop module parts available solely for 'special-order' HeadRoom Desktop Amp customers willing to wait a very LONG while for their Desktop Amp/desktop module build; (PLEASE --no returns/exchanges allowed on any 'special-orders'!

).... Expect somewhere around an 8-wk lead-time on a "special-order" Desktop/desktop unit.... I will also add that once these desktop parts are gone, they are gone for evah!

so does this mean the Desktop Amp ships standard with the Home Module? and base price will still be $599?
