Hey all,
 
I just put in a replacement driver to some 880/600ohm beyers I got off ebay. One driver was dead so I ordered a replacement, and after putting it in I was really excited to hear them....however something must be wrong. If the 600's are better than the 250ohm, then I don't like "better". The 600ohms have even less bass and sound really dry, with the highs being sibilant at times, again this doesn't seem right. Thoughts?

Ok, so I'm a total tard....I had the right phone wired to the same terminal as the left. That makes even a nice pair of phones sound like garbage. On another note- I notice no difference from the completely "burned-in" driver from the brand spankin'  new one. I don't have great ears, but I believe burn in to be a placebo effect even more so now.
