There's an interesting riff in the live performance of "Dazed and Confused" from Led Zeppelin's The Song Remains the Same [OST] that sound very familiar. But I can't place it. Anyone care to weigh in?

No doo-di-doos this time. Here's a link to a short WAV clip:

So where did this riff come from -- or what did it evolve into?

[Edit: Okay, working now. Apparently you can't transfer MP3 files via HTTP? I don't know. So anyway, I now have a shorter WAV file up.]

It sounds like a fragment of a riff from "Children Of The Grave" from Black Sabbath...but it could be something he improvised at the time...

Hmm, I wonder why it sounds so familiar. It continues and changes a bit beyond what I posted, but I couldn't get the whole thing because the clip got too big. If any of you own The Song Remains The Same, give it another listen. The riff kind of comes out of nowhere at about 21:18 in and progresses for about 40s or so before it turns into something else.

Thanks.
