What's the point of a "loop out"?

This is probably a silly question that betrays my ignorance, but what's the purpose of adding loop outs to amps? For example, in my case, I have an HE60, an HEV70, and a KGSS with loop out. Is there any reason to hook up the HEV70 via loop out to the KGSS? Or how else can I make use of the loop out? Thanks in advance for your imminent answers!

If you have only one out in your source, you need the loop out, otherwise how can you connect two amps in one set of jacks....the loop out is just ot let you use that output of the source for other amps....

Or, if you're like me and you run your home amp out of your Tape Monitor, you might need the loop out to go back into the tape deck (if you still have one

Its so you can have 5 different headphone amps hooked up at the same time.

Actually, I use it to go downstream to a speaker amp.
