Do you think it's worth it for $180? What's the maximum price do you think it's worth based on sound quality and overall build? I'm planning to buy a pair @ soundprofessionals.com and I was wondering if the sound quality and build justifies the price of $180 tax and shipping included. Thanks

Probably just under $100? The stock pads are very uncomfortable for me.

Yeah $99 max.

After the initial wow factor of bass wears off, you realise they are pretty average @ $150+ at less than $100 they are good value though

This would be my first high-endish headphone if ever. I listen to lot's of hip hop and rnb FLACS in my pc. And I want a headphone that would last a long time and will be an excellent investment thats why detachable cable is a must. I want the vocals to be clear and the bass while it's there should not be muffled and overpower the other instruments and a decent to good soundstage is a plus too. My budget is 150-170 bucks. I live in Canada. Any thoughts on Senns HD 380 Pro? Also to the other guys who said it's ok and not worth the full price cuz it's muffled, have you guys burned in your m50s or not? I need an honest opinion. Thanks a lot!

$99 Tops as thats the NEW price on Soundpro's constant.  You see why in the FS forum anything listed higher never sells. If you shop around you can get a new set much lower then used prices. For used in 9/10 shape no more then $75 bucks Tops.  And that's shipped

Black are $120 and Red are $130 right now, wait a week or 2 and they'll be even lower.

they always go on sale for $99 on amazon and other sites.

It's really up to you whether that mod is worth the extra money from soundprofessionals.

Given, that I wanted to upgrade a year later (when i originally got mine), I'd say No. but it's your call.

I think I'd get the Senns HD 380 Pro for $150 instead. I heard that M50's tend to get harsh sound when you turn up the volume to get more bass to it.
