whats the diff b/w r700/r700pc and r700dpc?

The 700 PC has an analog USB-audio link. It can be useful if you don't have a good soundcard but it is probably not worth the price (better purchase a soundcard with optical out).

The 700 DPC has a digital USB-optical link.

AFAIK, the 700 PC is availablein Europe, the DPC in the States.

yongenhui, there is also the plain MZ-R700, which doesn't come with a PC-Link at all. It is available in the States, but hard to find [you'll have to track down an online reseller or buy it directly from Sony (either through sonystyle.com or at a Sony company-operated store]; most MZ-R700's sold in the States these days are sold as the MZ-R700DPC (which includes the PC-Link with optical out).
