I own both CX300 and E2C, but those a pretty old IEMS. Just wondering if there are any cheap IEMS that are significantly better than those IEMS out right now. I liked them both when I got them but I can see many problems with their sound these days.

So any suggestions? PL30? NuForce? Something else?

Depends of your budget, but you may have a look at the phonak audéo PFE,
there is a big thread here.
there is also a big review on anythingbutipod, i received them today and they sound just fantastic.

If you don't require a lot of bass, ER6i are under $100 and clearly better than those two. From there you need to jump up to about the $160 range....maybe some Super Fi Pros.

After the CX300 and E2C you should really look to make a significant upgrade rather than a small one, and spend the requisite money to do so, and thus, be wary of the value you get trying to upgrade for the least possible price.

SLC4 is quite capable, and although it has been eclipsed by new stuff, it is still a very decent IEM. But I will admit, I haven't heard of nuforce.
