What's the biggest sacrifice you made for headphones?

I have sacrificed eating hot lunches for a month or two, and just ate packed lunches. Maybe staying in with the gf as opposed to going out for dinner. But nothing major i dont buy anything outside of my means.

I sacrificed the time saving up for the the next audio upgrade. That's about it.

I totally forgot time, and of course I have sacrificed some to be where I am headphone wise.

Nothing really.
If I had been a starving student, maybe I'd have eaten ramen noodles for a month for some gear.

Nothing. My most recent acquisitions have been on the inexpensive side. I got my more expensive (home) stuff many years ago, when I was making more money. I've been happy enough with it that only minor upgrades have been made over time.

I've sold gear that I was sad to part with in order to purchase other items I knew I wanted, but for the most part, if I wanted something, often after hearing it at at meet, I'd start saving up my money bit by bit until I could afford it. My now sold K1000s sat in a sealed box for close to a year until I could find and then afford the amp I wanted. I don't mind waiting if I have a goal, and so far, it's been worth it.

I removed the piercings from my traguses I had for 15 years because they interfered with my Grados pads.

This I'm sure many agree with. At least I do.
