on markertek's site, whats the difference between the 3.5mm mini-mini cables and the 3.5mm Balanced (Sterio) mini-mini cables?

Been really busy lately, but without going into great detail, my personal preference is for the silver cable with Switchcraft plugs JMT made for me. Next in line would be the Markertek also with Switchcraft plugs, and bringing up a distant rear HeadRoom's Plastics One mini which I use for workbench testing.
The Zucable Pivot looks nice, but you can buy a friggin PCDP for that price.
