on a side note, i hope you are using a digital output from the laptop, as their soundcards are crap in my experience.
with itunes, i know that there is no eq setting that will truly warm up the mids and deliver good midbass kick to my taste. but if you search the forums, i have seen how-to guides on equalizing manually.
"Warm" is pretty hard to define, but if you feel you need a bit more bottom end, try boosting a couple of db at 80hz. If you want to smooth out harsh highs, try a small dip at 2 and 4k. It's really hard to say without hearing your system in your room, but iTunes eq can be pretty effective. Just remember that in most cases, a little goes a long way and cutting is usually better than boosting.
