I'm about to take my first step into the DIY madness and make up some cables for my 650's. I decided to start out making myself a set of knockoff cardas cables with the canare star quad wire. From the descriptions I had read about the canare wire I thought the stuff was going to be more like romex. I find the stuff super light and wicked flexible. My plan is to start off on the low end of the cable world and work my way up. If I don't find the cardas knockoff to be a worthwhile improvement, I'm not out that much cash.
