My birthday is coming up and money is burning a hole in my pocket. I'm looking to get a new pair of headphones for ~$200. Currently I have HD595, DT770, and K240 mkII. I really enjoy all three and celebrate their differences. One of my goals in this hobby is to have a "broad palatte" and interesting collection.
I use an iPod Classic with line out and mini3.
I listen to a decent variety of music, but the headphone doesn't have to be an all-rounder. Open or closed doesn't matter, but I do prefer circumaural.
BeyerDynamic DT880?
AKG K601?
Sennheiser HD580?
Denon AH-D2000?
I'm leaning toward the AKG K601, because I've really enjoyed the K240 and the fact nearly no one talks about them intrigues me.
Anything suggestions? Even other than what I've listed?
