Those people don't know what they are talking about. If you seek true knowledge, jump to Head-Fi's cable section and blacklist the sound science forum before it does any harm to you.
Instead of cable elevators why not just run them through a ring on the wall higher than the terminals on the speaker. That at least reduces strain on the copper core and the terminals.
Reading through that was interesting. I'm sure we all seem pretty crazy, as do some of our claims. I really don't care what other people think about audiophiles or head-fi at all. Some of the claims that they laughed at actually had some merit.
