Whats better DT770 or DT770Pro/80

Did not realize they were differently designed cans.
I like the look of the ones on headroom better but i dont know if they sound different or better.
Im looking into a pair that seems to be the 770pros, seeing as how i can get either for similar pricing im curious which performs better. or if they are different sound sigs how do they differ.

Any input is very much appreciated.

I think the general consensus here is that the DT770pro/80 are the best sounding. I have a pair on the way and can't wait to hear them.

The general consensus isn't always backed up by actual experience, however. Many people have found the new model to have a slightly weightier mid-range, which is no bad thing. Also, the heavier clamping on the "pro" model may be less comfortable for long listening sessions. The consumer Beyers are some of the comfiest cans around.
