What's as comfortable as HD555/595 but has better sound quality?

The only discerning difference between the HD555 and 600 sonically is that the 555's treble is slightly rolled off, and you can only hear that difference when you do focused A/B'ing. The only significant difference between the 650 and the 600 is the 650's bass is just a little bit more prominent, but it's not night and day like some people claim. So that means, the 650 has a tiny bit more bass and treble compared to the 555, that's it. The overall sonic signature between the Sennheiser's mid/high-end headphones are all very similar with minor differences.

Thanks - interesting to hear another viewpoint. I sometimes wonder how much is real and how much not. In my own tests, I found the 650 to have less bass, but more treble than the 595. Also a bit larger soundstage. The 595 seems to please all around, w/o focusing on one genre of music.

I'd agree the upper Senns sound similar, but I don't know about the 650 having more treble than the 555. Both 555 and 595 have, to my ears, a more open, obvious treble than 650--no veil, in other words.

I currently have 650 and two 555s, one with the 595 foam mod. Interesting comparisons.
