I have a good set of bookshelf speakers but unfortunately even with its 2-band EQ, I can't get quite the EQ I want. The bass knob lowers upper bass too much while I need to mainly lower low to mid bass. So I thought if I could get a low latency SPIDIF In/out EQ device that could work. It needs to have a good amount of bands so I can get the bass exactly where I want it.

An EQ with optical in is no problem, several to pick from. With also optical out I think it's going to be a problem (or really expensive). Can you manage RCA or XLR out? If so, you'd have a ton of options. Maybe it does exist at some price point, just never heard of a graphic EQ with both opticals.
