Hi, I'm using a samsung a22 4g phone and was wondering whats a cheap dac/amp to run my low 38ohms m50x. I know that they don't really need a high amp to run but I've noticed a big difference with a cheap sound card on pc.

Would the ibasso dc05 be enough? It says it's only 32ohms. Or is there better?

Thank you

Yeah you'll alright with an ibasso dc05 (at its price). What's you're budget? Because power wise, its on the leaner side.

No its not only loudness, but mostly headphones sounds better when better amped (a headphone not powered properly will sound thin).
BUT for general listening you're alright with that setup.

Either. If you want bit more compatibility in the future the E10K-TC. Better experience now, K3S.

I ended up getting the Questyle m12. The store owner said that the ibasso dc05 doesn't work on all samsung phones, said the fiio k3s requires more power than the phone can handle and that the m12 is more powerful

Will be more than enough.I was a M50x user. Even with Apple dongle, I didn't have to use more than 50% volume.
