I like warm sound which is why I use the hd 650 at home and koss porta pro on the go. I like the porta pro cos it sounds nice, super light weight and is flush with the side of my head rather than sticking out like many headphones do (looks bad on my head)

However I often feel like people look at me funny for using them. What would you say are some step ups for the porta pro for portable use, while still having warm sound?

I would not care what other people think, but if you want lightweight cans and better sound, try Grado SR60e or SR80e.

Right on, yeah I have the grados actually but I find the treble on them to hurt my ears. The main thing I like about the sound on the porta pros is how warm they are. But you are right, screw what other people think, I got a nice setup at home, im only using the porta pros when I'm on the go!
