What would be the next step up from PS-500's in the Grado line?

Looking to upgrade my headphones...currently using PS-500's but want to stick with Grados.

What set of headphones would be considered an upgrade, in your opinion?

Is there something you particularly like about the PS500? Anything you feel they lack? It may help the experts here to identify the best candidate.

The bass isn't quite strong or "tight" enough, is the main thing. Overall I love them, though.

No Grado is going to have more bass than the PS500, time to move on.

You could also try out Flat Pads, HD414 Pads, or taping the outside of the bowl pads. Lot's of people have tried to get a little extra bass out of Grados. The 414 pads (not reversed) are my personal preference when I'm not using bowls.
