What would be the best bang-for-buck, 6port power conditioner?

Where I plan on setting up my listening area, there is a dimmer on the same circuit, so I'm looking at a power conditioner to make sure my gear has a nice clean power signal.

But I know nothing about who is a good brand . I would need about 5-6 ports and would not like to spend more then $150.

Any recommendations?

Here's a thing that's confusing me, maybe you can help

We have two furman's.. an 8 port with coax + telephone (not needed, but just listing its features) protection and a 2 port (with nothing else) which costs double

8 Port - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/379128-REG/Furman_PST_8_PST_8_Power_Station.html

2 Port - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/379136-REG/Furman_AC_215A_AC_215_2_Outlet_Power_Conditioner.html

And I can't figure out why such a huge cost difference

Please school me :)

Good question.
I'm not an expert on furman, the first does look like a power strip and the price seems too low.
The second is targeted at flat screen panels and seems to boast of higher protection; but too few outlets for your needs.
Perhaps a Brickwall power unit would fit your needs, it's an old classic and well regarded.

Surge protector doesn't do any power conditioning though right?

In fact, reading about the 8 port furman up top, it also sounds more like just a fancy surge protector, but its name does have power conditioner in it.. hmm...

Yes I think you're right, furman seems to be using "conditioning" rather liberally here.
It seems more like a surge protector.
So one school of thought might be get the best surge protection (Brickwall Surgex etc) and noise filtration instead of more expensive conditioning, which seems hard to get for low $.
You might also want to consider audiogon for some used options, as long as physical condition is ok, that would be fine with me.

Do you mind linking to one such product? I'm on TrippLite's site but I don't see anything whose abbreviation would be CVT and I don't see iso-formers either

TrippLite site is actually down right now...odd.

IIRC their isoformers are sold as "IsoLator" and their CVTs carry either an LC or TC prefix (like LC1200 or TC1200), when it comes back up I can link (if I remember).
