What would be a good protective cage for exposed tubes in tube amp?

Just got a Little Dot II++ and really enjoying it, but worrried about something falling on it and breaking a tube. I'm thinking of getting some stiff chicken wire or something to fashion a cage that wraps around the tubes.

Have you had any luck doing something like this?

Sorry cannot help you directly but I know Singlepower has/can put a cage around the tubes -- for owners with children. There was a thread where this was discussed and you can probably PM one of the owners who has a cage to see how it was built and with what materials.

Best wishes.

Well, I'm off to the hardware store this weekend to see what they have.

For the Little Dot II++ it seems like it would need to have holes drilled to support the flexy chickenwire type mesh I'm familiar with. Since I don't yet want to drill this new toy, I'll be looking for very stiff wire that I can just sit on top and easily remove.
