okay i am wanting to build an amp that i can use for home use and use with my computer and my cd player

What would be good and dosen't need a printed circit board

What's wrong with PCB based amp designs?

I'd suggest a PIMETA for your skill level. You can perfboard it, but you have to be able to read a schematic as there's no tutorial for perfboarding a pimeta. But the printed board only costs $7.50, it's not a major hit.
