This is the lesson I’m learning and I’m headed down the same route with buying and selling different sets because I don’t have a local store and have to rely on blind buying online.

There is also the mistake of assuming I can find an IEM that can replicate the sound of a full size HP. I prefer open HP, so very few IEM's can give that sense of openness and space, but I also many times prefer the isolation of an IEM. It's just a different listening experience.

This is me now. I need the isolation as my listening sessions are often in noisy spaces. My journey into IEMs was trying to find good headphones I could DJ with without having to turn the volume super loud. One day I’ll venture back into headphones again.
