I'm found here from AVexchange to the classifieds here. I'm still building rep to post there, but I do like searching here for possible upgrades and getting others' thoughts on headphones and setups before I even make a purchase. This has been a pretty sweet spot.

Out of curiosity and being a new member, what was the thing that made you want to join this website and become an expert in audio gear?

I started out with the Altec Lansing im716 IEMs which were a collaboration with Etymotic. I had no idea who Ety was at the time, and someone mentioned that in an article. I bought them because they were supposed to be excellent and they were on super cheap clearance. Sadly they found their way out of my coat pocket one day and have been lost to time. I would've loved to have kept them for posterity and comparison later.

Anyway, I picked up some ER4-Ps to replace them I think, and never really looked back. I've been a low budget and Black Friday audiophile ever since, haha.
