what volume do you listen to your music on your iPod/MP3 Player?

My hearing isn't as good as it used to be, most of my initial responses to people talking to me is WHAT! or HUH!

On my H140 / TF10 I usually listen to 12 out of 40 during day time, and I think this is plenty loud.
At night it goes down to 4/40 or so, and sometimes for fun I put it down to 1/40 for a while, and after having listened like this for awhile, even 4/40 seems really loud and you seem to hear more details and such.

I'm using a Karma, and IM716's (pretty insensitive), mps' and flacs are gained to 89 db, so I have it on about 3/4 volume.

On my European (capped) Zen vision I listen between 11/25 and 16/25 depending on the headphones.

However when I use my PA2V2 I set the volume just above the channel imbalance (around 8 'o clock) and it's as loud as 16/25 without an amp.

The problem is that European law dictates a maximum output of 100 DBs but assume "with the provided headphones", so power is really dependent on the sensistivity headphones shipped with the player. With "big" headphones the max output of most euro players is bellow 100 DBs, while with IEMs it can probably go above...

Haha we have a delightful little bell curve... really 25/50 on my Cowon D2 is almost too soft, but eh... its what I listen too. Kind of scared going of going higher.

iPod video full volume with my SR60. Treble is a bit loud, but so is the lawn mower I'm pushing while listening at that volume.
