I now have a 5V USB cable powered DAC and I’m using an iPhone charger to power it at the moment. It looks like a power bank or a linear power supply might be better options to improve the sound. I’m not too keen on a power bank, so might invest in a linear power supply.

What are the things to look for and avoid when shopping for a 5V linear power supply? An initial cursory glance at search results shows a very wide variance in prices so I’m trying to understand what makes one linear power supply better than another.

Topping D50. In fact, after creating this thread I found another site that suggests that using a spare USB port is fine and it's not worth spending more money on external power supplied.
