I've been out of the loop for a while now and since then more and more IEMs have come to the market. So much so that I don't know where to begin.
I had the Shure SE846 but lost them one night. The bass was amazing. Very visceral. However, I feel like they didn't have any timbre. Notes didn't feel alive. My memory is a little hazy but that wasn't the only thing I wished it did better.
Losing the SE846 gave me the chance to get my long desired K10u. I've had them for over a year and they're great, but the bass isn't visceral. Some songs really bring it out but not in the same way the SE846's did.
My source is iPhone + Spotify. I do have a ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC + iPhone + Spotify setup but I don't use it too much.
What can I get that's the best of both worlds? Thank you for your suggestions!
