Hi guys, I'm going to go to Tucson for 2 days this weekend. Do you have any suggestion for what I should do there during my spare time. Any local food joints/restaurant worth trying for?

There is a lot of stuff right near the university that is worth checking out/eating at. It is basically a bunch of bars/pubs/restaurants that are all around the campus. It is all on East University Ave.

i couldnt find much when i was there last. best thing was this ranch'ish steakhouse joint on the north side of town. they served tasty rib roasts for amazingly low prices (something ridiculous like 7.99 for a 12oz'er). very busy too so call ahead

There is a skiing place near Tucson (unbelievable!) but can't recall the place at the moment.

Two places come (immediately) to mind:

Eegees
They have a number of locations all over town. They started out in the back of a truck in front of Saguaro High School and became a Tucson institution. They have a lot of different flavors but stick with the original lemon eegee. The sandwiches are also great.

Pinnacle Peak
This is in Trail Dust Town on Tanque Verde Road. It's burned down several times over the years, its walls being festooned with ties cut from the necks of Snowbirds. Unless you want your name and tie memorialized on the wall, don't wear one. But this is all beside the point. Pinnacle Peak is one of the oldest of the chuck-wagon style restaurants opened by the cattle companies (if it's crowded, keep going east on Tanque Verde a couple miles to the OK Corral at Wrightstown Rd, another oldie but goodie). Three sizes of steak, beans, bread and a salad.

And then of course there's Mexican food. The choices there are boundless but if I was visiting, I would get me to El Charro, where Monica Flin accidentally invented the chimichanga.

Yes there is snow on the mountain, but it is warming up. It is supposed to be 80 degrees in Tucson on Saturday. Mt. Lemmon is really not the best place to ski though

I thought Summerhaven burnt down? Did they rebuild it (I haven't been home in awhile)?
