aviator glasses maybe from like cartier or some other overpriced company. He's rich and can afford the most expensive ones they make i guess. I think they look pretty dumb, but definatley retro i guess.

most likely Ray Ban Aviators... and like the photo RickG posted, it has the extra top bar with the brow cushion. not all Ray Ban Aviators have it.

IIRC even rarer are the Ray Ban Aviators with the circle brow support, those are RETRO!

BTW, those are really old photos of Mr. Michael. i dont think he has that hair anymore.

I've got a pair of those that I bought in the early 80's and they're mint!

I think I've somewhere those are either a special George M. edition or the General from '87 (50-year-anniversary edition.)

I have those (the General, which btw. is replica of some general of the allied forces who were in Africa's sunglasses) and I'm definitely not gay.

edit:
Rick,
those are not Ray Ban (there's no text in the cornor.)

Yeah, I think that pic is of some knock-offs. I was trying to find a pic on the web that looked similar to mine.

I found a pic of the "real ones":

Mine are definitely Ray-Ban.

BTW, you're right about George. He's wearing a "The General". You can tell by the "arched" nose-rest.

Here's another pic:

I of course got mine new on ebay for a rather good price (between USD 70 - 100 on ebay.co.uk.) In Denmark a new pair of Ray Ban's is like $130 or so, and they are not as classy as these.

I can't seem to find any info on them on google ATM, but I found this in completed listing on ebay:
- A replica of a WW2 Ray Ban made for commemorate General Mac Arthur
- Made in the USA (newer Ray Bans are made in Italy. These are made by Bausch & Lomb(probably spelled wrong)

Here's a good picture
