Well im hopingto upgrade from a no name brand of speakers and sub which i have in my room which a friend donated to me
I tried a search but i couldnt find anything similar to this post (if i missed it, please direct me
)
Hopefull im looking for something that can fill a loungeroom or an appartment with decent sound and bass (it will be hooked up to a computer). My music styles range quite a bit from easy listening oldies, to Mandarin pop music to Trance and Hardstyle Trance (my top choice of music atm

Ive had a look around Dick Smith and the likes for their speaker setups. And so far im hoping for something 5.1 for around $200-250 AUS Are there any speakers with a sub out there that have done well in this price range?? I was considering speakers over a hi-fi stereo as i didnt think it would be worth it to pay for the cd player, casset tape player etc etc when i just need something to hook up to my compuer.
