I've recently started using FreeBSD and was wondering if anyone had some experiences with sound cards to share. I'm still very new to the OS, so I'm still learning, so anything you could share would be great.

Isn't OSS available for BSD? Yup, I was remembering that correctly. That should give you a pretty good choice of sound cards.
