What song was No.1 on the day you were born?

Well my year is 1991 but the closest are:

1989, this year’s Brit Awards was hosted by Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood in which just about everything went wrong - lines were fluffed and bands mis-cued onto the stage. Winners included Phil Collins who won British Male Solo Artist, British Female Solo Artist was Annie Lennox, Erasure won Best British Group, Best British Album went to Fairground Attraction for ‘First Of A Million Kisses’, British Breakthrough Act was Bros, Michael Jackson won International Male, International Female went to Tracey Chapman and U2 won Best International Group. This was the last year the show was broadcast live.

1993, founder member of Musical Youth, Patrick Waite died.

1993, Holland's 2 Unlimited started a five-week run at the UK No.1 with the single 'No Limit.'

1993, The Cult went to No.1 on the UK album chart with 'Pure Cult.'

Interesting…what year was that? Wilson Phillips and Bon Jovi are totally '80s, but "The Joker" is from a decade or so earlier. How did that happen?

US Charts: "All I Have to do is Dream" by The Everly Brothers
UK Charts: ""Who's Sorry Now?" by Connie Francis
AUS Charts: "Catch a Falling Star" by Perry Como

Amazingly enough, I actually know all these songs and even like them.
Now I wonder what was the hit song on the day that I was born in the country in which I was born (Canada). Well, I found out: "All I Have to do is Dream" by The Everly Brothers. Just another instance of American imperialism ruling the airwaves. Hehehehe. Well, I was born in "America's attic."
