So I want to know, let's say I listen to music on my computer, what would be the best thing ?

Computer to DAC to Headphones

or you can put an Amp too like that :

Computer to DAC to Amp to Headphones ?

Will there be a difference with the amp added ? Does a simple DAC will still upgrade the sound ?

Because I want to buy a Benchmark DAC-1 but I don't know if I'll need an amp too ?

ideal computer setup would be cpu > dac > amp > headphones. the dac1 has an internal headphone amp which you can use until you can invest in a better/dedicated one.
