What processing does a file (song) go through before transmitting via the Bluetooth codec It will be sent in?

When a DAP sends a music file via Bluetooth, does it get processed through the DAC & the other hardware first? Do the DAC chip(s), and all the other hardware matter when using Bluetooth transmissions from the DAP?

The antenna is very important, as well as the B.T. codecs, what else should we look for in a DAP for maximized transmission via Bluetooth?

There is a separate chip for BT processing on smartphones and DAPs and the main DAC chip in the DAPs do not necessarily process the file before transmitting. It depends on the quality of the BT chip.

It stays digital untill getting to the speaker/HP/speaker. That expensive DAC chip and Amp in a DAP becomes useless as it is bypassed.
