For Koss and Stax phones with their adapters, what kind of virtues in a power amp do you look for? Large current, high voltage swing, etc? Specifically, I am thinking about building a gainclone amp to power my various Koss ESP phones (6, 6a, and maybe a 9 in the future). My power supply is +/-25v 3A regulated. I am thinking about either LM1875 or LM3875 (easy point-to-point soldering), but I don't know if one is more suitable than the other for electrostatic phones. Thanks!
