Hey guys,

There is this sample that one of my friends recorded from a radio and he doesn't know what the song, nor who the artist is.
When I listened to it, I unfortunately didn't recognize it, but instead became very curious myself and thus am asking here. Perhaps somebody recognizes it!

Please listen to the short sample here, sorry for the quality: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2892527/piano.mp3

To me it sounds like something from the ambient-piano genre. But yeah, I have no idea who the artist might be or if the genre would even be correct.

Is there anybody who knows this piece? :)

It's too romantic for Glass.
I tried running it through Soundhound but the 13-second sample is too short for it to be recognised... :frowning2:

Might be track 9 maybe a different track, but this is it...

I suppose it's worth $1.80 but it's pretty awful stuff.

Thank you, guermantes and bigshot, for trying and for additional info :)

I listened to the Dracula album and didn't find such a song.
I listened to the album here: http://boomkat.com/downloads/89799-philip-glass-dracula
Although there are like 2min previews, the piano songs on that album are of different musical texture in my opinion.

bigshot, are you sure the song is from that album?

The one I linked to isn't the regular Glass Dracula score, it's a piano version of it. If you listen to the sample of track 9 at Amazon, you'll hear the theme you are looking for. I bet your bit is later on in the song.

Sorry for not replying for some time.

Yes, I listened to the piano song, 9th track, "The three consorts of dracula" also from that boomkat site. At amazon, one can listen to only a short sample but from the boomkat site, I listened to the whole song (the same album), and I actually got the whole piano album to listen as well. I couldn't find such a song that is even similar to the dropbox version on the first post. Am I just imagining myself? :)

bobdohl, the clip was recorded from a radio in Russia long time ago. Couldn't trace the song via this.
