Hi,
I'm looking to replace the STX II default op amps as I've read their the budget version op amps from Muse and I ain't want no budget op amps.
I'm currently using DT990 250 ohm version, I do both gaming and music on them, as well as video streaming if that matters. I'm looking for op amps with a little more punch in the bass. The highs already sound good I guess, don't want them brighter though, improved sound stage would be a huge plus and that's basically it I guess. :)
If you need to know anything just ask. Oh and the STX II uses dual DIP-8 op amps I believe. I've looked into the LME49860NA but that's basically the one I know of that people recommend.

(Sorry if this thread doesn't belong here, had no clue where to post it)

The LM4652 & LME49720NA op-amp used in the STX/STX II buffer slot is the same as LME49860NA op-amp.
The LME49860NA is considered a cherry pick of the LME49720NA, guess the LME49860NA has a better voltage range?

Getting three LME49860NA is a low cost way of trying to improve the audio quality of the Essence STX/STX II sound card.

Well, I listened to the 49720NA and it sounded kinda airy (dry?) in my opinion. Too little bass as well :frowning2: .
Some guys said the OPA2111 have great bass and sound stage? As well as great details. Opinions?
