Is there a headphone and head-amp site that delivers reliable reviews that you can base your purchase decisions on?

I would never rely on such a site.
I can only tell you to go and test the stuff for yourself, it's by far the best way. If you get headphones someone recommended you could be satisfied but you can't be sure if this is really the best you could have gotten for your music taste and your budget.

Been trolling many sites for reviews, and I haven't found any others as knowledgeable as Head-Fi. Not only for the content of the review, but also for the discussions following, as other members pipe in.

You may end up confused, but you will be informed. (same thing)

Yes, the experienced posters on this site are gold. Opinions here have helped me many times. Much more reliable than so called "pro" journals.

Very interesting, but I guess this response is not unexpected. There is a wealth of information here, and not too much mis-information either.
