The Globe and Mail, and our local Edmonton Sun and the Edmonton Journal. It seems like every issues talks something about poverty and homelessness, so I prefer reading online @ CNN.com .
(A.) After getting electronic news feeds from AP, Bloomberg, BBC, Agence France Presse, NYT, Reuters, Tass, UPI and others - my reading is not newspapers but musician biographies, espionage novels …
(B.) Real men & women don’t read the news, they make the news!
If you live in a big city with a population of about one million or more, it’s definitely a good idea to read the newspaper from time to time
There will be listings of events, concerts, new cool restaurants and other miscellaneous things related to your local city that you would have never known about. It’s actually true that many locals do not know their city that well and miss out on unique things so a newspaper can help.
If you live in a small town, then the local newspaper probably isn’t worth it though
