The 2nd one was even more interesting because there were different melodies of strings.  And the male vocalist both had growls and whispers.  And from about 4:15 - 4:25, both the male and female vocalist whispered together.

  From what I've heard, Toto's "Rosanna" is an industry wide reference track for recording and stage setups. I figure it would be a good reference track for headphones as well.

In some of the choir parts you can hear two of the more dominating voices separate, one slightly to the left and one center (the blonde). Then the male choir voice to the right.

Went to see Epica.  Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Agonist, Arkona also played.

They were good.  They said they had for 2 years in a row, they kept having to cancel.  Were glad to finally do a show here.
 
I would have liked more from The Phantom Agony album, and more from The Acoustic Principle.  But they played a good amount from The Holographic Principle.
 
"Unchain Utopia", "Dancing In A Hurricane", "Beyond The Matrix", "Edge Of The Blade", "Universal Death Squad" were highlights.
