What modifications are needed to use headamp for small speakers?

To drive powered speakers, you don't need to do anything.

To drive unpowered speakers, you need something like 400 mA or so of output current per channel. Remember to heat-sink the chips. A stack of EL2001s won't work, because they'll get too hot unless you use so many that each chip is only taking a small fraction of the load. To get away without heat sinking, you'd need at least 10 chips per channel, I'd reckon.

Quite possibly the best way to do this is to use the TO-220 version of the BUF634. Three or four of these in parallel with heat sinks per channel will give half an amp or more of output current ability per channel.

Remember to make your power supply studly enough that it can supply this much current continuously.
