Hey guys, just thought it would be interesting to see what music you think makes your K701/K702's shine. I just got my K702's a few weeks ago and so far

Norah Jones- Feels Like Home album, and Come Away With Me
Andrea Bocelli- Amore
Trans Siberian Orchestra- The Lost Christmas Eve
Eagles- Hell Freezes Over, The Long Road Out Of Eden

Those are some I can think of off the top of my head I will update with more as I listen. But just thought it would be cool to share what we think makes our K701/K702 shine.

I can concur that TSO sounds incredible with the K70X. Duran Duran sounds great as well and so does some of the live Queen stuff.

Another album that sounds amazing is:

Pink Floyd- Is There Anybody Out There/The Wall Live

Also HDtracks.com their 96/24 Sample Download sounds amazing.

Yeah, their 96/24 does sound life like. The K701 sound so effortless with some of the passages on Mozart's' track. Truly amazing and once you guys try it, you won't believe it.

I have the Hell Freezes Over album on XRCD well a 320 kbps download.

Yeah Hotel California on that album is amazing. The Eagles are an amazing sounding band. If you haven't heard their newest album yet. The Long Road Out Of Eden. Check it out I think it sounds better than the Hell Freezes Over album.

I also prefer my K702's to the HD650's I owned before these.

I also find some digitaly composed video game soundtracks to sound awesome.

1) Devil May Cry 4
2) BIO HAZARD :Symphony Op.91
3) BIO HAZARD Orchestra
3) Metal Gear Solid 4 - Harry Gregson-Williams Selection

Both of those first two sound very good. HGW's sound far better though. Very symphonic, and so is BIO HAZARD Orchestra.

Again, as cliched as it is, the 5th is magnificent, especially the 3rd and 4th movements.

The only music that sounds good on K701s is music with no bass below about 100Hz or so. String quartets and solo acoustic guitars, for example, should be perfect!
Stay far, far away fro music in which deep bass plays a prominent role (eg Enigma, Massive Attack, anything involving pipe organs.)

I have both Norah Jones albums I mentioned on the way. So when I get them I can rip them in AIFF and take a listen rather than the 192 kbps I have them in.

I also just got The Essential Michael Jackson from a buddy ripped it in AIFF and it sounds pretty good. A lot of his stuff is not too bad.
