Yea I don't intent to renew my stereophile either. Though I did enjoy that riveting article about power conditioners and the use of sand bags as sound dampers. </sarcasm>

Every time I read those articles, I want to punch those people in the face. They make the reader believe that their setup is crap and they are reviewing a piece of God.

Stereophile- (I really don't subscribe anymore, however, they keep sending me issues because I'm such an "old timer")...

Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine- My fav (for years)...screw all this HiFi stuff...

I hardly ever buy magazines myself these days, used to buy quite a few in the past, but it got to the stage [with hobby magazines at least] where they just seemed to repeat the same old stuff over and over again.
Magazines are great when one is full of enthusiasm for a brand new hobby,or
looking through adds etc, but thats about it.
With the vast content available on the internet one can now read as much info on a given subject in one long sitting as could be found in one years worth of hobby mags.

That said , I do still occasionally succumb to a nice glossy cover , and there are still certain 'regular' times when only a magazine will do
