The difference in a KSC75 w/ in-line volume control (btw what IS the inline control?) and one without?

Which one has better sound quality? (Im guessing w/o?)

Without is best.

Inline control is a volume control built into the cable.

Yes I know, but ... err .. technically what is it? I just want to know so I know why it affects SQ

Because instead of passing signal directly to the phones itself, you're passing it through another object. (at least, in this case, I believe this holds)

I don't think it will affect the SQ..its just an additional feature. But according to my experience and a few others, its better if you get the non-VC one as the VC usually causes malfunction. *but it may be a blessing in disguise as that will be the time to get a recabling done..unless your driver died
