But of course you are right, the D66 is the best sounding. Except... except... perhaps... perhaps the D77? We shall see........
BTW my KSC-35's and PortPros still get thier fair share of use because they are better suited to life in a pocket then the Sony eggos. And on occasion I break out the Senn MX500's when I don't want to draw attention to me listening to music.
Each has thier place in my backpack!

What's your definition of portable? Any headphone that I can carry around is good enough for me, so I say HD-580!

hmm i like the koss ksc-50 as truly portable headphones, and they're a steal at $20. too bad they hurt horribly after a half hour of use. if comfort gets to be an issue i like the sony w.ear headphones more, even if they don't sound as crisp.
